ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Barbara Ann Cochran, 1972 gold medalist in slalom and former World Cup alpine ski racer, takes us back to the 1960s and early 1970s when she was growing up as the second of four siblings famous “Skiing Cochrans” family. Growing up in Vermont, she learned to love skiing with her family on their backyard mountain called Cochran’s Ski Area, which is still open and operating today.

As a coach with a passion for sports psychology, we dig into the mental side of sports. Is pressure part of success? What did it feel like to win a gold medal? She discusses EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), which can help athletes overcome the mental challenges that hold them back.
